It’s a big download, but worth it!
This looks to be O scale but the camera is on the front of the loco so I can’t tell. This is an absolutely huge railroad!!! Does this line belong to you or is it a club. Where is it located.
James
my guess is it’s here http://www.infoharvest.ab.ca/EMRA/ and it’s HO i think , they mention code 83 flextrack , but i couldn’t find an actual mention of the scale !
edit:
i didi some more snooping around and found a couple more videos from TV coverage of the club

both are pretty long , so be sure to have plenty of time to watch . i got plenty of laughs from the interviewer in the first one [:)]
All I can say is SPECTACULAR! Wow! The length of the run is one thing, but the scenery is another. I sat here shaking my head at the wonderfulness of this layout. Thanks Electrolove for sharing it.
Trevor
WOW is about all one can say after watching a 17 min video of a club layout. Sorta gives you the insperation to get busy on your own.
Thanks,
Holy Cow!!![:D][:D][:D] that is one large layout. At the beginning I was wondering why they were going so fast. Now I know if they went slower it would be an hour video. Tks for sharing.

INCREADBLE Video. Allan.
Wow, what an incredible trip. Awesome mountain and trestle scenery. I hope I can get over to Edmonton Alberta some time soon. Thanks for sharing.
WOW!!! That is so so so nice …
Carl…
that is one huge layout and multilevel too… very nice… wish I had that much room to build in!
That thing is huge!
Thats one of those kind of things that either makes you want to go work on the layout for the next 24 hours straight or hang it up forever.
I’ve got to go now. I’ve got a lot more RR to build!
That’s sick. Makes my garage layout look like a Christmas tree loopy loop
heres another absoutly huge layout.

Does anyone have an idea which train cam was used for this production? Thanks.
Great music. Oh, the layout was cool. [:D]
Peter
The layout is the Edmonton Model Railroad Association
Absolutely incredible! I saw the entire video and enjoyed the show!
One thing I did as I watched. The video opened up on Quick Time. I didn’t care for the music on the video, which I found annoying as I’ve heard the so songs so many times!
I turned off the volume on the Quick Time video screen and then played Paul Brown’s jazz album “Up Front” which automatically plays on Windows Media Player…and Wala! Enjoyed the show with some relaxing music that goes with a train’s cool rythym.
One of the best vids I’ve ever seen.[:D][tup] There’s nothing like a locomotive engineer’s view! [4:-)][tup]
Mannn, that’s one really nice layout! Lots of fantastic scenery in the video. Thanks electrolove.

Such a cool movie that I felt it should be bumped up again so our new members can check it out!
I visited this layout a few years back. Its at the entrance to Fort Edmonton Park (which has a real operating steam engine that takes you around the park in vintage passenger cars). It really is a site to behold, but as a visitor its all behind glass and it was hard for the kids to see it. However, I emailed Mark Johnson (whose email is on the front page) and he told me to just come around to the door and he’d tour me through. Unfortunately, I was there with my two children (4 and 6 at the time) and my sister’s five kids (ranging from 3-7 at the time), and I didn’t want to abandon them for a what would likely have been an hour of touring, so I didn’t knock. Still kicking myself.
As for the railroad, that is the area my father grew up. I remember him telling me all about the Monashee and the railroads around that area. Obviously he was very interested in seeing this layout, too. Plus, Fort Edmonton Park is a very cool place. There is a link on the page, but here is a direct link:
