Dear Trains, your John B. Corns photo on pp 80-81 of the August issue states that the photo was made at Ravenna, KY. Not so. Its the Kentucky River that goes past Ravenna and its train yard. The Red River Trestle is further to the west along Kentucky highway 89. I’ll look in my DeLormes Atlas for a place name and post it here[8D].
Delorme’s gives the two nearest locations as Cressy or Mina, Kentucky. I don’t know if the railroad has a place name for this location other than Red River Trestle. It does look like it is about eight miles or so from Ravenna Yard.
