I like working with wood, but sometimes the kits are just too expensive so I try and take a plastic kit and “woodify” it. This is an inexpensive kit I had under the table, (Life Like), and decided, how could I make if appear like a wood kit?
Using various paints, (browns and burnt umber) along with the alchohol and India ink this is my creation. I like it. I am trying to do more, but for me it is a simple way to enhance a plastic structure and make it more realistic and for me it has that “woody” appearance.

Well I have tried email & IM, direct mail, and IMG code, can’t seem to place a picture directly on the post without having click on one of the http’s above.
Nice job Robert. The structure definitely looks “woody,” it almost looks as though it was made out of cedar. Certainly a much cheaper and less time consuming option than building a craftsman kit!

Robert , it’s the IMG code on the bottom of your four choices in photobucket. I was wrong on your previous thread.
Nice picture by the way.
All you do is copy and paste in the box. Don’t use the “insert media” tool up above in the message area.

Corey:
What you did above is what I am trying to do, thanks. This is a wood structure, just down the tracks.

Well, I tried all four, clicked on each to copy then directly pasted to this box above.
On the last try I clicked directly on the picture to copy then pasted directly in the box and it worked.

It may not be wood but you have done a great job of making it look very nice. It works for me Robert.
