I finally finished my Guilford GP40-2L(W). And thanks to Ed (egmurphy) I learned what the macro mode on our little digital camera was for. So the shots are much clearer than before…thanks Ed.
Well Dan it aint Sunday but heres some shots of a recently completed project.
This Bachmann Plasticville O gauge coal tower has been bashed into a Gscale tower for my Borracho Springs RR. The bases ar LGB bridge piers and I scratched the tower above the original structure and changed the hand rails to a larger scale.
The tower addition was added because the tower sits on the layout right where a power outlet and cord that runs the layout comes thru the wall. Rather than relocate the outlet I just built the model so i could route the cord thru the model.
Nah, its a rust bucket Bachmann Big Hauler from a set I got at a swap meet for $40.
Its too big for my indoor layout so its kinda and Albatross right now. I might scrap it for parts or I might possibly rebuild it into a German or Soviet WW2 armored train I’ve been contemplating.
You must have all the cojones!! That is what is stopping me from having a really great looking AT&SF Northern!
That is a great job! You should write an article for MR on weathering…I know they had one a year or so ago, but I think your model looks far better…imho
I saw on your other thread about painting and selling models on eBay. I think that I would have to say that I would be interested. I just don’t have the airbrush skills to attack those great new models! If you eve change your mind about painting a few on the side, I have a few I’ll send!
