Jack Burgess' Yosemite Valley Railway

I’ve always enjoyed watching his video, time and time again. I model in “N” scale and have included many of his concepts in my 2.5’ x 14’ double decker.

how did you add those comments to the video!! very nice layout!!

A fantastic layout with realistic scenery. A enjoyable trip.

As a lover of steam this sparked my interest and I was never dissapointed at any stage. Excellent scenery and detail held interest all time and wished for more.

Very impressive!!!

Looks and sounds good. Scale, Robert? I’m guessing HO, but I’ve not read the article yet.

Great Video and scenery, good job!

Great video. I visited Jack’s layout during the recent NMRA convention. The layout looks even better than the video. You feel like you are really there! Wonderful work, Jack!

Very nice landscaping and fine details good work

Great ride. V Good video presentation. Thanks !

Very nice. I thought I would have seen the falls in the backdrop. I suppose the RR was never close enough to see the falls. Outstanding .

vety very nice!

A great layout and well thought out, enjoyed the video.

It was really nice to see that old 4-4-0 creeping along your right of way. Good job.

Thanks I enjoyed watching the layout unfold during the run. I also watched Part 2 it was also excellent.

Jack’s layout is spectacular. I have seen it in person. It is actually modeled after actual scenes and buildings on the original Yosemite Valley Railroad. Even the people figures are actual people who lived or worked on the railroad at the time. Of course Jack is an expert on this railroad due to his great book on the subject.
