Jack London Square - best day/time of day

Hi all

just stumbled across this forum 24 hours before leaving New Zealand for a trip to Berkeley/San Francisco/Las Vegas.

From what I hear Jack London Sq is a pretty good place to watch some trains go by - question is it any good in the weekend ? Any ideas as to best time of day.

Also in Las Vegas any tips for good places to go to see trains if I can get away from the tables :slight_smile:
