Jack Parker of Central Valley Model Works Passed Away

I saw on Facebook tonight that Jack Parker, of Central Valley Model Works, passed away on August 28, 2010. He evidently had some sort of bone cancer. I don’t recall seeing any mention of it here, so I thought I’d post it. He was a really great modeler and the hobby has lost a hero. My condolences go out to his family.

Sorry to learn of his passing.

During tours last year, Jack and his family graciously hosted a couple busloads of us from the SP historical convention in San Luis Obispo. His BIG in-home layout modeled the Northern Pacific in Montana.
