Jaeger Corrigated Pipe Loads

I recently purchased a Jaeger Corrigated pipe load, but the dowel that is part of the kit was missing. Can anyone tell me what the diameter of that item is/was? It looks like it might have been about 1/4" but not sure.

I built one 15 or 20 years ago, if my memory (such as it is) serves 1/4" sounds about right. I will try to find the box where it is stored, and take some measurements. This is a fragile load, needs careful handling, but looks great

Sorry for the delay, I just checked, and the pipe ID is 1/4 inch.

I used 2 Athearn BB 40’ flat cars. The kit makes 2 pipe loads per car - 4 pipes wide and 4 pipes deep. The kit should include string for strapping the load and stripwood to fit into the stake pockets.
