I just get mine today and i like how they rank the top 10 railroads.
I agree with you here! I like the new look and the order n which Trains placed top railfaning states. I am very happy and surprised that my home state of Pennsylvania is in second place behind Illinois! I guess one of the reasons why PA made second is because of the mountain railroading it has to offer.
Had to send in a “point of order” on Collis Huntington (from the “people” paragraph on NY). He may have been from CT, but he did build a railroad (all 17 miles of it) in NY…
My state is number 5 on the top ten list. Did any else get theirs yet???
FOR ME THE ISSUE WAS OVERKILL…A WHOLE ISSUE WAS JUST TOO MUCH.

I agree. T M I or too much information to handle.
I remember years ago…Trains Magazine said they would never devote an entire issue to one subject again after complaints…but history repeats itself, I suppose. I subscribe to keep up with whats going on in the industry and with the hobby and to have an entire issue devoted to trivia was a bit much. I read one page (Thank God, for Don Phillips!!!), thumbed through the rest of it and put it down…because I felt like I was ripped-off. Had it been on the news stand, I never would have bought it. Hopefully the next issue will make up the difference.
