Jarrell, did you ever get "shutdown" to work?

Interested parties would like to know? [:D]

Bump.

Last bump…c’mon Jarrell, get with the program!!!

Heck no. [:(]
I tried and tried… I hit 9…9-----9…9—9…9 exactly like the BLI guy said, exactly like the online manual said and like you did, all to no avail. So I gave up! [banghead]
Oh well, it could be worse… [:)]
Jarrell

This would be getting a diesel or steam loco to shut off it’s motor? Which one?
Matthew

Matthew, it’s a BLI Class A 2-6-6-4 articulated.
JaRRell

I’ve done this with my QSI GP-9. It’s the bees knees.

JaRRell what DCC system do you use? Mine, Lenz, has a “shift” button ( Number 9 key ) which isn’t F9 it puts you into the upper F numbers, so its button 9 then 1-1, 1-1,1-1 to shut down. Just a thought!!

F10 is actually button 9 then button 2

Ken.

Good to know that Ken’s system is different; I’ll have to file that away.

Well, I must say that I am stymied…and disappointed. I take it that you have done another hard reset (using the jumper, not the CV changes?) If not, remove the tloco from the track, remove the tender body (should just lift off with a little sliding, though stiff), and pull out the jumper (black rectangular box with a small staple atop it). Follow the rest of the prorcedures as outlined in the manual, and when you are back up to steam, see if what I described doesn’t work. If Lenz, you know what to do.

Otherwise, another phone call to Broadway.

Don’t give up…it is a handy feature, and worth trouble-shooting…IMO.

Oh, I’ve wanted one of those since it came out! Is it good in the other departments?
Wish I knew about DCC so I could help you, but oh well…
