The Jeep Railway operated one half mile of track to the tramway. It did not connect to the Northern Pacific. It was taken out of service in 1975. The rails are still in place burried under the gravel of the exit trail.
Funny…it doesn’t look like a “Geep” to me! [:P]
How did they operate in the opposite direction? Just pushing with a man in the passenger-car warning of obstacles? or did they have two turntables?
I guess, they had only one consist, so there was no danger of head-on-collision with upcoming train.
