Jeffrey's Trackside Diner for April 2026

Okay, I guess that I finally managed to open the Diner on time–or almost on time. And, as suggested by Kim, our theme this month is Alien Abduction of Railroaders.

April Fools! Okay, okay, our theme is not Alien Abduction of Railroaders. There’s not enough content for that. This month’s theme is, as the majority of the Diner’s patrons voted, Railroad Construction.

Good morning, Brunnhilda, I’m glad to see the Diner’s re-opened and now has a new manager. I’ll have a full English breakfast, please. And best wishes for a great month.

Hahaah definitely a great April fools joke on me because i lack all of the Duck Duck AI assistant skills to find or create those images. Because i try to ignore that (and i will get in a 10 person lineup for a cashier before i took a self checkout lain too.)

Grats on the new job please don’t fire the cook the regular patrons will revolt.

Good day Diners.

About these alien visitors, ever wondered about their metabolism rate?
They seem to be able to maintain body temperature without the need of clothing; or is it that they find earth temperatures so high that they abandon clothing?
I am of course “asking for a friend”.

Maybe they’re female and in their 50’s?

Evening

Looks like a game of chess. Id have to be there to understand that.

I’ve always loved Dave when he ran the Diner here. Still love him today.
Brent? Gotta love that good Canadian too eh!

I’m just not used to this funny stuff. Although it was funny.

I’m heading out to Northern Wisconsin for a couple, few weeks. Judy worked Spring Break and has accumulated PTO.

Hold down the Fort Kids. Dont let the skaters take over the parking lot while I’m gone

David Gilmour was always my favorite band member of Pink Floyd, but I’d have to admit, Roger Waters wrote some dry, but well orchestrated music.

Floyd is one of those bands I always wished I could have seen but never could afford the ticket price. (The Who and Paul McCartney also fell into that category). I was working at Cedar Point around the time The Delicate Sound of Thunder concert video came out and we had rented a big screen (for 1991) TV and a big stereo system to watch it. We had the dorm windows open on a warm summer night watching Floyd while an actual thunderstorm worked it’s way across Sandusky bay. Needless to say it was a memorable night.

I managed to get a tiny piece of myself aboard! They’re carrying a microchip with millions of names on it around the moon and back and I just managed to get my name on the list before the deadline.
