An abandoned ATSF (some listing say BNSF) station at Coleman Texas. After decommissioning, it was used as the local city police station, then abandoned again. Status of use unknown.
At least it’s still standing…
In all due respect, If you’re still standing, the bridge will stand very much longer than we will my friend.
This was Frig’gin Awesome! Best video I have seen in a long while. Thank you for sharing this, Doc

Watching “Canadian Pacific” this morning while I have my coffee… an old western movie with Randolf Scott
Good flick
I love railroad-building movies
Here’s a pic I took last night just outside my camper (I’m out birding, hiking and camping this weekend)
The Palm Warbler (seen only here in Iowa during migration season)
Good morning
You had a video on the construction of the Bridge of the Gods and a neat picture to go with it, and you chose Daffy Duck? ![]()
Just Love that Mike! Those were the real cartoons worth watching back then!
Wonder if that Palm Warbler was there in Iowa to nibble on that big yellow bud Grandpas Trains?..Post Hog! ![]()

Can you imagine the wind-load on that roof structure?
My wife just saw an indigo bunting at our feeder! Lucky catch. I saw one once here while walking up to the mail box. Years ago I spotted a read headed woodpecker at the feeder. Glad the camera was handy!
Back in 2009 when I could still afford shelled peanuts for the little critters!

Who’s up next? Brunhilde? Could I get a mint julep?
I was hoping Mr. Baffert could get his seventh win, but it was not to be. Still, a thrilling race, with a come-from-behind winner, and a first Derby win for a woman trainer.
Evening
Enjoyed seeing the rare woodpeckers Ed.
You and CN Charlie talked birds, and the Baltimore Orioles always preferred an orange slice, or marmalade jelly.
Peanuts out of the shell used to be like a Sport in the evening over here. The garbage can right by the couch. A three or four banger was like winning a prize! ![]()
Prescott, Wisconsin. Right over the river and down awayes from Hastings, MN.

Got the oranges out as we type! An Oriole stopped by on Thursday but he was just passing through. We usually have a pair or two stay for the summer.

This is Cambridge, New York, which I believe was once a branch of the Delaware & Hudson. Taken June 2015:
We always had orange slices nailed to a board at the resort on Lake Kabetogama and enjoyed the Baltimore Orioles as well ![]()
