Evening diners,
Seems the email updates are back online.
Anyone playing for the 1.6 BILLION Mega Millions Jackpot?
I did the math, the 30 year annuity would be 53.4 MILLION a year, and 4.5 MILLION a month, that’s before taxes though.
Anyways, nothing much going on, we’re working on the mobile home we got from my uncle, it’s a LOT of water damage.
I’ll leave this on the jukebox.
Howdy … Coffee and a donut, please.
We returned from Michigan. A quick run back. 630 miles in less than 11 hours.
I hope everybody is doing well . I’ll catch up on your posts later… Is Ulrich still MIA ?
Meanwhile, feel free to post about New England railroading or progress with your model rairload projects.
Cheers,
Yeah, this is new to us, too. [:(] Every time they fix the server it finds a new way to break. Very creative fellows, those gremlins. Guess all I can say is, they’re on it.
Anyway, here’s your coffee and donut, Garry.
I am also seeing on MRVP that the “New Videos” are from 2011.
Came up with a lighting board that’ll drive 32 LEDs for a grand total of about $7.50 built (well, in theory anyway - I need to get the parts so I can program them out to 32 LEDs first – I only have enough bits to test up to 16).
Not sure what I’ll do with all of them – the prototype boards from China come in lots of ten (10), and I sure don’t need 320 random LEDs lighting up on my bench (as I don’t even have a plywood praire right now).
(edit) – to be clear, I ain’t advertisin’
Maybe if I make enough fun things like this, I’ll send an article to MRR :).
Good evening
Dan … Good to see you in the Diner . Your LED lighting sounds very interesting .
Steve O … thanks for the coffee and donut ! Delicious! [dinner]
Everybody… Happy Model Railroading !
Eveing Diners
Flo, get the gang and I a [B] please and leave a stein outside for Ulrich.
Sure hope Ulrich is Ok.
Took Wife to therapy. Dave made her scream when he forced her knee backwards more than she wanted to. Good for him, she won’t do it on her own and if I did I be a Jerk! Times running out, I go back to work in 6 days now and she only has 6 more treatments. She goes to see her Surgon Tuesday and he could add more therapy, maybe.
Time to walk the dog.
Later, Ken
Evening folks,
So I’m only going to allowed to do a solo and the duet at the fall art crawl, so I might try busking on some of the side streets after singing at the music school.
After we sing together I’m going to ask Annalise if she like to go out on a date, I gotta give it one good try.
Gidday Ed, for some reason, I thought it was Marklin, but I was wrong.
Thoughts and Best Wishes to All that need them.
Cheers, the Bear.[:)]
Aye, Bear…
I’ve still retained some of the gray matter between the ears…
A rack line might be a fun little branch line for a garden railway but maybe not for the whole line.
I hope everyone is well this day!
Looks like I’ve been kicked to the top 'O the page. Everyone dig in!
SPAM & Eggs for everyone [:O] Maybe some yummy Velveeta melted over the top!
There’s some good eatin’ for sure!
Regards, Ed
I hope this worked
oops, must’ve deleted things on accident –
Mornin’ everyone! Hope the day’s looking to be a good one for all.
Those LED controllers will be fun to make. The most annoying part of sharing the plans will be the control chip (as it’s a bare chip, rather than an arduino; and will either need to be programmed by the person making the project, or sold to them pre-programmed … and selling them runs foul of the forum rules).
Poor Stephen, he has to figure out a way to tell Cody and David, that in his latest MRVP video on weathering a bow wave on an engine is not pronounced the same as a bow tie. It’s like bow and stern.
My wife gets her car detailed, which is surprising, because in between, it looks like she lives in her car. The guy picked it up this morning, took it back to his place, only to discover his brother in law “borrowed” his air compressor and vacuum, without his knowledge. That bil has a lot of gaul.
Gorgeous fall weather. Nothing on the MR front.
Hopefully he’ll get them to have Cody say “decals” instead of “details” first.
That might be asking a bit much.
Gee whiz Ed, gimme a break! I ate lunch just before coming across your Spam advertizement. Nearly lost my cookies!![+o(][swg][(-D][(-D][(-D]
I got lots of Spam[+o(][+o(] and Corned Beef (almost as bad - I hated the fat) and canned ham as a kid. The canned ham was OK if we fried it. Canned food was a neccesity when we spent time at the cottage. No refrigeration.
We were in Cuba a while ago. One of the restaurants offered a “hamburger”. OK, we all know what a hamburger is, or so I thought. Unfortunately in this case it was fried Spam on a hot dog bun. Dianne could hardly stand to smell the thing! I took a couple of bites. Then I remembered why I hated Spam![+o(][+o(][+o(][(-D][(-D]
Dave
Spam, it makes good fishin bait, that’s bout all, actually its Vienna Sausages, but same difference.
Took the front tires off my truck again to hunt down the source of the grinding sound at low speed braking, I changed the pads and now there’s a noise.
One of the rotors has slight ridging, not enough to be a problem, but I’ll be changing it next time round.
Good afternoon …
Ed … I see you were spamming the Diner thread … [+o(]
Henry … Thanks for let us now how to pronounce “bow” if the context pertains to weathering the front of a locomotive.
Ulrich … I am very worried about your absense.
Everybody … Have a nice afternoon.
Yes “bow” is pronounced “bau” as in like the front of the hull of a boat or ship.
Ulrich, where art thou?
I emailed Ulrich 5 days ago and he hasn’t responded. I’m not sure what to think.
By the way, in keeping with the current cuisine theme, I checked my Spam folder (seriously![(-D])
