Jeffrey's Trackside Diner September 2018 from Tennessee and Kentucky!

I’m so glad we got the music world of Nashville Tennessee. I’m sure Johnny would like it.

My friend Erv a retired Master Mechanic always has helped me out with my little endeavors

He helped me out with my Master cylinder and brake switch today. It’s done now thanks to my good friend.

Don’t you love your great friend.

I sure do[;)]

My buddy Erv needs some stairs off of his back deck.

Guess what he is soon to have them. it’s my next stop out to his house next weekend. My buddy Erv will have his steps to the backyard next weekend.

That’s how I roll[;)]

My wife boiled spaghetti noodles so long it turned into mush. I like perfect spaghetti noodles.

It’ll be alright?

Mush spaghetti it will be.

I am a Scot, I say it like it is.

But — to her the “mushy” ones are perfect.

There are always alternatives, Mr. Fiddler.

I have a nearly identical situation, I prefer al-dente, Mrs. Pullman likes, um, very tender — aka mushy.

I take pasta tongs and pull my portion out of the water and let hers cook another three (or eight!) minutes.

No worries.

By the time mine is drained and plated hers is ready to come out of the water.

Everyone gets to “have it your way”. Everyone’s happy.

Bon appetit, Ed

LIONS like their bisghetty…

Al Denti is good, sause not too thick nor too thin.

No WATERY bisghetties. Go to Subaro and you get a plate of water with a few bisghettys flaoting about in a thin wattery sauce.

And they charge per meatball.

Or something like that.

A charge per meatball you say.

At that point don’t let your poor meatball roll onto the table then roll onto the floor. Whatever you do don’t let that poor meatball roll right out the door[(-D][(-D]

No errands today. My little Judy wants me to take her to the last day of the fair… Off to the fair we go.

Have a good day y’all.

Howdy …

Evidently, nobody read my post last night carefully, but I’ll share virtual cake and ice cream with you anyhow.

TF … Glad you liked the photo.

Steven NWP SWP … I’ll eventually post photos, but it will be a while before the coal mine is worthy of pictures.

Once upon a time NBC TV moved away from their peacock and made a new logo, perhaps you remember it, it was a stylized letter N

Problem was they did not research things well enough, and so after they started to use it the University of Nebraska brought them to court. The logo was exactly the same but with different colors.

The peacock came back again very quickly.

Oh well…

LION uses Serif Page Plus X9 and that has a built in logo maker.

Very nice.

Ulrich … Thank you … [:)]

Afternoon folks!

Well I saw it, but it was too close to bed time for me to comment. So…

“Hippo Birdie, Two Ewes! Hippo Birdie, Two Ewes! Hippo Birdie, Deer Gar—ry! Hippo Birdie, Two Ewes!!!”

Hope you have a Great Day!

I got my 4 miles in over at the Fieldhouse this morning. I think they turned the heat on today about half way through my walking time… They were also hosting a kids Squash Tornament there today, I guess. Most of the kids and their coaches/trainers were warming up right in the middle of the track so I had to detour around them several times. They could have gone into the Basketball/Tennis courts that are inside the track, but prefered to be jumping around swinging rackets, and sprinting up and down the track usually going in the wrong direction. Oh, well just a one day affair I guess. Awfully cute young kids anyway…

We are under a Heat advisory again today… Heat index values here are in the mid to upper 90’s with the actual temperature in the high 80’s and high humidity. Nice bright sunny day out there, so I am making enough electricty from the panels to run my air conditioning at no additional cost. I think I’ll just spend the rest of the day inside… [:-^]

Tomorrow I will be going down to Hammondsport, NY to be in a operating session at one of my favorite layouts. Should be fun! The division (NMRA) is also looking at doing most of our next Meet with the subject of layout operations…

Garry,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! Feel free to take the day off , and just run some Train’s.

As for me …? I believe I’m not quite to the “Duffer” Stage ( but I still have all my own hair. So… maybe tommorrow …? )

[bday] to Garry!

I read your post yesterday and remembered it was the big day. Have a good one. If I lived closer I would bring over a nice vintage to share.

It is another fine day here 25c and sunny.

Had a couple of Mounties out front of the neighbours’ house. We have a large forest across the street we call the 100-acre wood. Apparently, someone has built a treehouse and is living there. The City has just now arrived to remove it. I went out to see what was up and said “I guess he has to live somewhere”. Just to tick off my nasty up the street neighbour who was there.

We are pretty far from stores and other services and wondered why a guy would live out here. Apparently, he has a car.[:|] If he can afford a car, I guess he isn’t that bad off.

This nasty neighbour of which I speak, I thought was a great guy for the first 23 years I lived here as we talked often. A few weeks ago he came down to invite me to a gathering at his house to meet the local Federal candidate running in the next election. I said I am aware of her and it would be nice to meet her.

He then started talking about the Chinese and East Indian people in the community in a disgusting manner and made even more disgusting remarks about immigrants. I informed him that both my wife and Mother were immigrants and I will not be attending his get together as it sounds like it will be more of a meeting of the Klan and then I walked away.

He hasn’t come near me since, until today. We just said hi to each other and that was it. I knew the squatter wasn’t there while we were out talking to the Police. The two officers gravitated to me instantly once I said “I guess he has to live somewhere”. I think they realized my neighbour was an unsympathetic jerk. As I left I said, “if he’s hungry, send him over and I’ll make him a sandwich”. I am sure that infuriated my neighbour.

It’s too bad he insult

Good eventing Diners,

Garry: while I don’t normally celebrate birthdays, I’ll just say congratulations or condolences, whichever apply!

Yes, it does hurt a little when nobody recognizes a big event in your life.

All the best!
