[soapbox] I am modernizing my layout from the transition era to a more modern time, perhaps the 80’s to present. I am rebuilding my fleet with well cars and other intermodal units but while cruising e-bay I came across a new term: “Jindo Cars” What exactly is this and how is/are it/they different from regular containers?[D)]
Jindo is a Korean company that makes containers.
I have never heard of a “jindo” car.
One of the model manufacturers made models of Jindo containers, but that would the same as making a model of a Ford truck or a EMD engine or a Bethgon.
You might hunt up some photos, to see if there’s some specific characteristic that marks a Jindo container - pattern of corrugations, design of locking devices and so forth.
You might also find out when the first Jindo containers appeared. They may be too recent to fit into your 1980s scheme.
Just a few thoughts from someone whose containers are all JNR standard.

According to the following link, Jindo began making containers in 1978. They are now going to close the plant and have them made in China. I guess outsourcing happens everywhere.
In addition to your well cars, you can still run modified TOFC flats and spline cars in a modern era. Saw some this week on the BN in Washington and the UP in ID.
