That not only looks good, it’a a great idea. How many of these places have we all passed. Really liked your overflow parking by the tracks because the lots full. Nice work.
Judgeing from the parking lot, that is a pretty high class crowd. Some of them could “afford this hobby”. Like the stair case and the imagination. I was also taken by how neat everyone was. There was no trash anywhere. Great bunch of people.
That looks like my kind of place. It wasn’t too long ago that country was still big in Northeast Ohio and there were a bunch of us two-steppin’ fools that used to die for a place like Joe’s. Wall-to-wall cowboy hats. Any NE-Ohioans remember Strikers and the Neon Moon Saloon? Nice job Mike! [C):-)]
Maybe I’m a bit of a stickler for making things seem at least plausible; but the top of the stairs is way too close to the railing of the balcony for any one to walk. If I were you, I would move the stairs towards the left of the photo (towards the front of the building) to allow room for people to walk at the top of the stairs. Perhaps lining the bottom step up with the centre column.
Other than that, you’ve got yourself one great looking structure. I would like to know how you did the neon signage.
Very nice work! I now realise that I want to have a realistic layout when older. The one I am building right now might not have a town. (It might though) Happy Modeling. Tim
chatea…Thanks all for the positive responsises. as for the landing at the top of the stairs, as it is not noticable from this angle, there it a 8’ landing at the top of the stairs. and for the neon signs in the windows, I simply went on the internet and found some pics of neon bar signs and saved them in my computer, then imported them into my Print Shop to size them to the right size and glued them over the hole I cut out in the structure. By the way the structure is made from 1/4’’ plywood so they are cheap to build. Hope this info will help. Thanks again to everyone, I appreciate the input. Mike
