John Allen compiiled a list of elements which he felt were necessary to include in a model railroad. Does anyone kknow where to find that list?

yes. But I have not been able to locate John’s list of model railroad necessities there are elswhere. I will look again. Thanks.

Moto, seems like I remember there being something like that in Linn Westcott’s “Model Railroading with John Allen”. Kalmbach published it, and though it’s out of print, it’s available online at resellers. Sounds like you’re a man who could use a copy. It’s a well written and fascinating account of John and his railroad. I highly recommend it.

Actually, the book has come back into print. Micro-Mark among others has it. Apparently they allowed Bob Hayden permission/license to produce an expanded version.
I also recommend this book.
