I seem to recall reading on one of these forums a few years ago, a statement that John Allen’s house was repaired and renovated after the fire and is still there. The thread that contained that information had a few photos.

For those who belong to the Yahoo Groups, check out the GandD forum. There are tons of pictures in the “photos” and “files” section including some of John’s address today. It appears as though the rebuilt house was indeed rebuilt back on the original foundation including the original carport.
