May I suggest that Mr. Bush drop the “Scenic” appelation to the railroad’s name? I avoid any thingies that have ‘scenic’ in the name. Go for the real thing!
He’s a man of many western railroads!
Amen to that, William! I think the experience of riding behind historical and ungussied up steam locomotives in an authentic environment would be attractive enough for riders.
Congrats go to Mr. Bush and best of luck. Steam On!
William you might want to ride the train before you say something like droping “Scenic” because it is a “Scenic” ride for 64 miles in Colorado and New Mexico.
Good luck, sir. Hope to see you this summer for another ride to, and lunch at, Osier.
I had hands on steam tourist experience at FWWR start up (1990-1992 in Ft Worth) with #1744 and #2248, but nothing beats the Chama to Antonita run for seeing things as they once were. I have no objection to using the word “scenic” if it helps ridership. Just don’t screw with the equipment and surroundings.
I wish him the best of luck. Maybe operating the railroad directly by the commission will be a successful operation. Good luck and may the railroad run for a long time!
