Can anyone tell me how to take apart the engine covers, etc. I am going to attempt to install a motorized truck assembly to the front, then wire it parallel to the back truck. This train is horrible for pulling and loses traction badly.
Just wanna know how to take it apart safely. Don’t wanna damage anything.

I’ve done that to a few engines. That is a Lionchief engine so you would need to solder chokes on each side of the motor and then I recomend wiring the motor in series. Make sure to check the direction of motor rotation when you do. You have to wire the new truck opposite the polarity of the existing truck.
Just a thought, All I did was add weight to my RS-3 to make it pull and that did the trick. They have no weight as built. Even with another power truck it will need weight.
