I think I misdirected my first post. Does anyone know of or have a track diagram of John Olsen’s Mule Shoes Meadows? Considering this concept for a On30 module

It sounds as if you already have the May 1976 Model Railroader article with photos. In an article on his main layout in the January 1984 MR, Olson described Mule Shoe Meadows as a 2’X3’ photo diorama, so the diorama may not have had a functional track plan per se – which may be the reason the diorama was never shown in its entirety. In the 1984 article, he describes possibly building a new layout area to focus on the narrow gauge, so it does not seem that the Mule Shoe diorama was intended to be part of an actual layout.

So you are free to make up whatever looks good to you – John Olson probably would!

I’ve been a fan of Mr. Olsen’s work for years. Was there ever a layout diagram published of his Mule Shoes Meadows layout/module? I can kind of discern the general layout but an actual one would be greatly appreciated. As an On30 modeler I’ve often thought this would make a great layout in that scale.
