Any one going? I’m headed out in a bit.
Too far for me, bring pictures or news when you finish the show.
Good luck!
Ok, I’ve been back for a while but just now got around to this.
I saw manny good bargens that I REALY wanted but I couldn’t afford. Some of thoughs were, P2K SF PA for $85, a custom painted P2K FRISCO FA for $65 (I almost got that), a SF PA ABA set with sound and DCC (I don’t know what brand) $225, and thats all I can remember other than what I got.
I got some N scale stuff thats nice. A Lifelike (no box, thats what the fule tank said, but judging by the detail its one of the proto N) CB&Q e7 (I think it’s a 7, but I know it’s and “e unit”) and 11 freight cars for $68 total. Here’s some pics.
the CB&Q e7
5 motor oil box cars
Couple of mechanical refers
Couple of wood refers
Couple of other box cars
Well, that’s all.
BTW: I know the e7’s where used in passenger service but, There weren’t hardly any passenger cars, maybe 10 (n scale), so I just got freight and I’m happy with it.
What decoder could I put in that loco?
Just to make your day we had a discussion at one of our LHS’s and some fellow did see E7’s being used in Stratford ON as a part of a lash-up involving it and a couple GP7’s. So it may be true that it was primarily used for passenger service they did get used for freight service as well. As for the decoder that might be something to ask in the electronic/DCC forum…
Aren’t the E units geared differently from freight locos?
Yes they are, I’ll make a quick comparison cart for you.
