July Model Railroader

I have recived July’s Model railroader magazine(its my fisrt one)

for my fist one it was free and i expect to orde rthe next 2years because for one issue it looks great and i havent even read it(only scan pages)

anyone else got theres?

I checked it out at the library, and decided it was good enough to buy. Picked it up yesterday at my LHS. I may have to go for a couple of airplane rides over the next couple of weeks, so I’m saving my MR and RMC for the trip. Terminal C in Atlanta is the pits.

I subscribe. And yes, I got mine!

Always the best read in model railroad info.

I got mine a while ago. I love it. I also subscribe.

Mr Beasley,

Terminal C in Atlanta. Man I feel for you!!

Of course my carryon seems to always have a MR, RMC or a Kalmbach book or two. If I have to be stuck in a terminal I might as well do something useful!!

The July issue is alright but it certainly neglects N scale big time.
A thanks but no thanks - and I’m a subscriber.

This is such a good magazine, maybe they should have an HO and N scale issue every month instead of trying to compete for space!

Computer wiz,

Is it safe to assume that you are also somewhat new to this hobby? If so, may I make a suggestion? I’m sure, if you are like many I know, that over the next several months you will find articles that have absolutely no interest for you. Don’t throw the mag away! As time goes on your interests in the hobby may change, some a little bit, some big time, as you gain experience and get a better feel for what you want from the hobby. Often times I find myself rereading old issues and becoming totally sucked into an article that was “wasted paper” when I first saw it. Even articles that were interesting the first time become more interesting when I reread them a couple years later as I am able to look at it from a different perspective given the additional experience and knowledge that I have gained during that time. (Of course my wife would say that you should throw the mag away immediately after the next issue arrives - I think she’s tired of having them all over the house - you know a couple in the living room, one on the dining room table and a few in the reading room (you know the one with the flushy thing)).

In any event - if you are new to the hobby - WELCOME!

thank you and i have NO intention of throwing them away because i have plenty of room to store them and i know i will go through them again around christmas when i start making my layout because ive already changed plans, ideas, and scenery a 100 times

thx
