Jumper wires?

How many feet apart should rail joiners be?

One school of thought: don’t depend on the rail joinersfor electrical continuity, every section of rail should have a jumper wire.

I generally solder every joint on curves and about 1/2 the joints on straight track (I don’t solder switches and crossings). I then add about one feeder wire every 3-5 feet. Works like a charm, and only takes a little time.
