Everyone must be sleeping in this morning.
Thanks Bob!
Been enjoying the warm weather. Waffles on the porch yesterday for breakfast and grilled chicken for dinner. Sat out and enjoyed the evening.
Helped neighbor with his new pressure washer. The wand would not screw into the trigger/handle. The male O ring fitting on the handle was approximately .001 larger than the receptacle and would not go in (distorting the brass end on the male fitting). I took it apart and chucked the parts in the lathe and turned off about .002 plus chamfered the receptacle. Works great now.
Hey Bob,, but what is for Breakfast this month??? [:^)]
Another nice day today. [8D]
Things are spilling over into the smaller towns around here. Burning police cars in Aurora and Elgin and well as breaking into stores in small towns like Oswego. My boy works in the city and is having a hard time getting 9mm Ammo. I told him that started with the COVID-19 thing. It is nuts out there! The police are just watching it go down. Can’t say I blame them.
Stay safe gang.
Hey man, I’m retired! But I DO get up by 8:00 whether I need to or not!
Unless “Mr. Bladder” gets me up sooner. [:-^]
Thanks Bob. Sat up watching the rioting in Raeligh. New lame Mayor thinks her job is a social event. Whines. Finally a curfew. Other cities had curfews and no problems.
Bob, please add the years [16] to your new pot or they get lost. Thanks.
Service mower and mow.
78, low humidity and sunny.
Sun and 70s today.
Hi Bob.
A busy week as my wife is going in for surgery on Thursday. Of course we are praying for cyst and not the C. I gave Da Chief a 24 hour warning but I guess that easy chair puts him to sleep.

Happy June 1st HEY BOB!!! and Thanks for turning on the Coffee Pot!!
I am wupped today, spent the night with Jenni, Trenton was on fire last night. Jenni was 10 miles from the major incidents, it would appear, based on the police scanner, that the Quakerbridge Mall (north of Trenton) was being targeted, and those scoping out the mall were either detained or arrested. The Lawrence and West Windsor cops were on their game last night.
Trenton, being the sewer hole it is with the corrupt politicians and very high crime rate, the protesters/looters/criminals set fire to a few buildings and cop cars then broke into a couple of Pharmacies - some being in what was the Italian section…back in the day, this would have never happened, they would have been shot a disappeared…I’m just waiting for the complete update…I knew there was trouble as the outer Hamilton Twp. fire companies that border on the city were pulled back and all the trucks were evacuated from their houses. Finally got to bed at midnight, up at 6 and back at Mom’s for work.
The good news is that I have resurrected the Marx M10000 set Jenni’s friend wanted to get repaired and it runs like a champ!! Got some brass #6 X 2" screws for the car set and a 3/8th" screw for the cab and engine. It had been painted red, I used a magic eraser on it and it shined up pretty good. I might be able to get the paint off and reveal the lithography, but it’s not mine, so
Well, there you go. If nothing else the last few months have shown there’s elected officials who perform OK when everything’s going right, but reveal themselves to be inadequate when things go wrong, and especially very wrong.
Hey, our military, and just about everyone else’s military for that matter, learned a long time ago a good peacetime commander doesn’t necessarily make a good wartime commander. More often than not they don’t. Just the way it is.
On a lighter note, I managed to get a haircut this morning! Thank goodness, I’m too old for a “man-bun.”
Good afternoon all,
Thanks, Bob, for starting the post. Was up past midnight but forgot to do it. Like some of the rest was watching Indy burn and break glass. Most of the area where I work had some damage and I saw footage of tear gas being used on the streets I walk at noon. I was scheduled for a vacation day today and tomorrow is the primary so I am not sure if and when I will be back in the office. At this point, not sure I care. The virus was one thing and this rioting is another. Strange times. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

The TV repairman came today and he immediatly knew what was wrong. Cost $335 to fix and he said it should last another 5 years. New modern TV’s don’t last near as long as the old box TV’s. 5 years is commmon. I did turn it on when I got up and left it on till I went to bed and never thought about it but now I will turn it off when not around. So i’m no TV for 4 or 5 days as he has to order parts.
When did it become June? The days just look the same when you don’t go anywhere and don’t do much of anything. I believe today is Thursday, so it is sort my socks and iron my underwear day.
Good morning folks!
Another sunny day on tap, maybe a shower?
Coffee in hand…Buckeye, yep, yesterday we literally watched paint dry trying out colors for a repaint of the back porch…ahhh retirement!
SJ - prayers for Mrs SJ [angel]
Going to be sticky and HOT! 90s So I have shut the house and will turn on the AC later as needed.
Dennis, if you recall a few years back my LG did the same thing. They over power the backlights and the first few will fry . It cost me $120 for a guy in town to fix it. Then within a year or so the reflectors starting falling off the back lights and leaving bright spots on the screen. I junked it and replaced it with a Samsung with side back lights.
Wow Buckeye, If it is Thursday I need to go to Krogers today! [:O]
Yes Chief that 's my TV’s problem, I hear Samsung is one of the more reliable brands. I have thought about it and hope I have done the right thing. In the space I want the TV I could have gotten a 55 " instead of my 50 " I doubt that makes much difference but every little bit helps I guess.
Question; I left the TV on all day every day. I’m thinking if away from the TV for a hour or more I will turn it off now. Is it bad for the TV to be turned on and off frequently. I live alone and do like it on even though I’m not paying much attention to it.
I used to go to a church event of some kind every day except Wed. and Thur. Yes Buckeye for us retired people now I have to pay attention to know what day it is. Fortatunatly I have plenty to do with my Railroad stuff plus regular chores and things like my current TV trouble.
It’s 88 degrees at 5PM.
My next door neighbor sawed off half of one finger and part of the next one. Who does that remind you of?
S.J.
Well SJ - you had 88 in the first line of your post!
Good evening all,
Voted today. Moved some small cedar trees from the trunks of larger trees to gaps in my west wall of trees. Hope they make it. Hard to kill them though. Should have done more today, but found out I have to stay home the rest of the week due to the riots in downtown Indy. Maybe now I will get a laptop so I can work from home. Mad because I have to burn 3 vacation days for nothing. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

Hello there,
Seems like summer might be here. Sunday’s high was 60 with a stiff breeze.
A larger than expected turnout at the hill climb. Riders were off a little at 78 and 153 entries. Most ride more than one bike. Gate was up considerably, over 400. Social distancing for the most part. Small groups scattered over the 2 ballfields that are the spectator area.
Spent Monday making hay. It was a beautiful day sunny, breezy low 70s. Son and I made 45 round bales of nice 1st cutting, all of them sold already.
Spent yesterday putzing around, made a run to the water store and some other errands.
Now sitting in parking lot while Mrs has her 1st appointment with rheumatologist, only patients allowed in. Hoping she can get some relief.
Best move on.
Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic.
Morning. 90 and sunny. Humidity coming back. Walked around [looking at her flowers] and sat with Wifey drinking coffee. Now she is off to feed a trailer park with hot lunches.
I delivered 220 produce boxes yesterday. Was a surprise call. Had three helpers thank God. Then CPA appointment. Why I didn’t get to post yesterday. Was a rush day.
Was very hot and windy yesterday. Good thing, I, at last got into the last two wet holes and got the grass cut. This morning, thunderstorms are rolling through the North Bluff and all is wet again. [li] [st]
Dennis, it was my TV guy who told me the best TVs out there are the Samsungs.
Checked on line for a hair cut and the wait has been over 3 hours every time I have looked. Guess it will take another month for the lines to shrink. [banghead]
SJ, Speaking of fingers, where is 88? [swg]
Banks, I am starting to see these monster square bales being made around here now. Have you ever seen them? Man they are big. [:O]
My uncle gave me two very nice Marx elect switches with controler and a Marx un-coupler track and controler, as well as a transformer and some like new track. I had never seen one of them un-couplers? Kind of neat.
Best get to something?
