Just a couple of pics

A lonely gardener walks into work on a warm summer day while an SD-70m and a freshly painted SD-40-2 pull a rare train of roadrailers into Blytheville tunnel.

Very nice scene!

thats it? I want my money back! (as in more pictures)

yeah, I suppose I can take a few more… I’ll get on that.

Nice job, how did you color the rock faces? I am finishing some rock faces and almost at the point of coloring a small section on my recently started layout. I do not have an airbrush. On a previous layout, 13 years ago, I used Pactra earth colored spray paint that I have been unable to find now. Any technique help appreciated.

I like the garden scene, nice contrast with that and the train. I am big into intermodal and run a rather sizable one on my not too big layout… would love to try a roadrailer.

Woodland scenics pigments work just fine, although can get expensive if you have a lot of rock. Try some diluted burnt umber and a little diluted yellow ochre for an earthy tone and finish with a wash of black to make the cracks stand out.

nice work !

but it seems to me that the green vehicle (no idea what it’s called) is much larger than would be needed in this size and type of garden

there , that’s my nit-picking for the year . don’t take it too seriously [:)]
