Well I just left another LTS and could not leave empty handed. I admire all the detail on the newer O gauge equipment. So I took the dive and here’s an O gauge start.
It’s an MTH SD90MAC. I wanted to go with scale wheels to get the fixed pilots. I wonder if I can attach them?
I thought the store owner’s explanation of why Atlas track is better made sense so I bought just one three foot to start. Kinda kick the tires.
I ended up going to three stores to compare O gauge track types, compare companies latest offerings, and to pick up 6 new O gauge mags and catalogs.
At the third store I saw a lionel C & O Allegeny 2-6-6-6 that looked exellent and I’m an MTH fan. He showed me the new lionel legacy control and again I was impressed. Then I see some user comments on it in CTT and maybe I’ll wait. The DCS is working good. So now I’m going to order a CSX SD70 and a 5 car set and the bug has bit. 300’ + track, + switches, no job = train nut???..
