Good pics. That green house in an interesting set of colors.

Nice work ! Interesting and realistic house.

Where did you get the GTO ?

Hi Jeff…What I really like about your layout is the depth and space you designed into it. The background is very fitting and of course your clouds are very enticing to look at. Very interested in your pickup, what vintage? I lived in a house as a lad without AC very simular to yours. Great job… John

Martin4: That’s a 1970 GTO Judge. I found that at Wal-Mart in the 1:87 offerings.

Jwar: That’s a 1972 Chevy C10. Got it from Wal-Mart with the other 1:87 stuff.

I also have Trans-Am’s. Pacer’s, Gremlin’s, Escorts, Pinto’s, all kinds of CAT equipment, VW bugs and busses, a viper, 50’s model Chevy Bel-Air’s and a whole bunch of others. The Wal-Mart in DeRidder has tons of 1:87 stuff!

nice work / nice pictures. Really like the low angle of the photos. Keep us updated. Jerry

I like the clouds on your backdrop and I remember the easy process you used to make them, clever. Is that blue tractor in the last picture from Wally-World?

Sure is.

Nice pics

I like the background. Keep up the good work.

I was immediately drawn to those clouds as well. Can you repeat the description of how you did them? They look great.

Looking good there Jeffery! [tup][tup]

You really have been putting in some solid model railroader time on the layout the past few weeks.

Cheers,

Making the clouds is easy. I get some 8 1/2 x 11 paper, a pair of scissors, watercolor or thinned water base paint in the colors I want, 2 flat brushes (one 1/4" and one 1/2"), 1 small stippling brush, and about 15 or 20 minutes to rub together. I cut the shapes I want from the paper then paint them the general color I want, then I carefully stipple in the darker colors. Once the painting is done the ‘clouds’ are left to dry. After they’re dry I apply a thin layer of white glue (no particular brand) to the back side of the ‘cloud’ and carefully position it on the backdrop. I repeat this for the other ‘clouds’. Being good in art helps a lot.
