just another scale question

I am thinking about making some blocks that resemble cinder blocks for some of my buildings. I have read quite lot on this forum and for some reason scale has escaped me. So here is is my dumb question, 1:32= ?. I need to know this so I can scale down the block to see if it feasible for me to do.

An 8" x 8" x 16" concrete block at 1:32 would be 1/4" x 1/4" x 1/2" (just divide you dimension by 32). You can find concrete block plastic veneer sheets in 1:24 scale and I won’t tell if you don’t [;)].

Thanks, I was going to make a die and extrude them out of clay. With the scaled down size it’s really not worth the effort. I might make some of a larger size for retaining wall and such.

1:24 scale: 1/2" = 1’

1:32 scale: 3/8th" = 1’ (No. 1 scale)

1:48 scale: 1/4th" = 1’ (0 scale)

1:64 scale: 3/16" = 1’ (S scale)

Marklin created the larger gauges of track a century ago, numbering them IIRC 1-2-3-4 with No.1 being the largest. When they developed a smaller size they had to call it 0 (‘zero’ or ‘zed’) gauge, but it is commonly called O “oh” scale. BTW “HO” means “Half O” scale.
