I have some older AHM 85’ passenger cars…will IHC interiors fit inside?
I’ve got a coach interior in a box, and a wooden ruler, so let’s see…
The floor insert is 10 7/8 inches long (276 mm) by 1 1/4 inches wide (32 mm). The bulkhead pieces are 1 inch high (25 mm) but add another 1/16 (2mm) because they sit on top of the floor insert.
In checking this previously, the lugs from the windows that hold the roof on do not line up with the cutouts in the interior so some hack and slash was required. Actually, I have both Riv and IHC cars and have yet to find one the interior (coach) fits.
That’s what I’m afraid of…Some people tell me it will work no problem…but yet they don’t own the AHM cars. Oh well window tinting it is. ![]()
If God had intended IHC interiors to fit perfectly, then He wouldn’t have given us Dremel tools. It’s inside the car! It should be no problem to disguise the cuts required. This particular interior is going into an old wood car. It doesn’t fit at all now, but it will.
One man’s “hack and slash” is another man’s kitbashing, or modelling, or whatever.
I’ll take the mesurement tonight…and see how much cutting it will take.
