I couldn’t get the Windows Player version to work, so I downloaded the Quicktime version. Looks very much the real thing (well it is the real thing, I mean 1/1 scale). Actually I was thinking those were the funniest sounding diseasals I have ever heard. Almost like they were running on… Steam?
Loved the Engli***rain Whistles, and the reminder to those of us in the north that that four letter word is coming!!!
Will … quietly awaiting the white blanket!!
My camera at that time had NO sound to it. The lady who helped me make the tape had copy rights to only steam, so i guess its better than banjo music.
The funnest part is the longer your in this hobby the more you get to try.
NO end in sight of growing.[:p]
Have FUN!!![^]
Wild, wild stuff, this is possibly the absolute, ultimate model railroading experience, there’s not a guy out there that isn’t drooling at the fun you could have with an outfit like this, this video will probably boost the sales of outdoor MR in the future–great stuff ! ! now all you poor souls who moved south, aren’t you sorry you moved tp perpetual sunshine???
I couldn’t get the sound, but the sight of a rotary plow flinging snow off the mainline is surely one of the best sights I’ve seen!
Thank you, I really enjoyed it.
Matthew
Thanks guys, man even if you don’t buy Garden railways mag, when your at the local hobby shop open one up ( Dec issue) and look at the back cover “end of the line” photo of the rotary in action looking up at it on a mountain side.
this winter I want to build a more prototype body for it. Back when I first built it I had no idea that it would really work.
This winter I also want to get better footage with the newer camera and the sound unit in my SD45s.
