Just got my P2K 2-8-8-2

Just came in today, and I found enough money to pick it up. Smooth runner, but doesn’t like my trackwork as much as my brass articulateds. Looks nice and has good sound. I am heading out on the Empire Builder for a couple of weeks so I won’t get to really figure it out for a while. Anyone else got theirs yet???

Congratulations, Art. You must be thrilled! How does the detailing stack up to the old P2K standard?

[ahem!]…and where are the pics??? You’re a cruel man, Art! [swg]

[#ditto] to Toms comment…John

The Y3 or the Y6b?

The P2K is a Y3.

CAZEPHYR is right, Y3. Pics will follow in a few weeks when we get back from riding the Empirer Builder to Seattle and driving around the mountains for a while. See you all later.

I think Art just set us up…[swg]

Here is the Y3 I purchased when they first produced it. I based it off the real WM #917. This model was #50 in the production run.

Here it is working a heavy ore train downgrade.

Hey Art, I live in seattle, so I took the Empire Builder to chicago last month.
If you’ve never done it, You’ll LOVE it. And if one of the Dining Car’s waiters is named Antonio, Tell him Mark says hi.

I just saw in the Walthers just arrived section that the 2-8-4 's are in to, I’ll believe it when I have mine in hand. Ordered last october and the wait is killing me!

Safty Valve after seeing your video of the 2-8-8-2 I might have to order one of them too! Sounds and looks great. Great job on the video. Thanks Jim

I received my notice yesterday from First Hobbies, which has all of the Berkshires in stock.

Code 83 or 100?
