I hope that my $300.00 is well spent for a pair of DCC Sound equipped locos.
Can anyone give me feedback on BLI’s E-7 Models in particular?
Thanks

I’ve got one and I love it. It had some quirks at first but a quick reset and it was fine. Mine was the only one out of everyone that I know that has one that had some quirks. other than that its a fine engine. Your money was well spent.
Thanks. It is due to arrive tomorrow…I’ll give a report as soon as it makes a few trips through Mt. Carmel…
I got the new Locos…Beautiful…Now I just need to get that Prodigy Express from Standard Hobby. They have it on sale for $70.00
These BLI’s are sweet!!!
And sound nice too
I’ll Put up pics after Christmas.
I’ve got one. Looks, sounds and runs great. I just need more coaches to pull.
I just picked up the BLI E-7 A-B-B CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO units, and believe it or not, it’s only my second diesel (I’m pretty much all steam). Beautiful locomotive, superb sound. Intriguing Mars light, and fine detail, runs beautifully. My only grouch is that the cab isn’t lit, but I imagine I can cure that fairly easily. Beautiful locomotives. Now all I have to do is find the correct CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO cars to go with it (without putting myself in the poorhouse, I mean). And please, don’t anyone tell me to try The Coach Yard–I already priced them, and they’re the National Debt. Maybe BLI will take pity on me and release a set.
But the styling on the E-7 is just gorgeous! My favorite passenger diesel (next to the PA).

I’ve had mine for a while, and they are GREAT. No problems what-so-ever. They also raised the bar by putting Trainphone antennas on PRR models. Now I think others are starting. I already have one of almost everything else, and have to put those on manually, arggggh!
These Babies run and sound great. I’ll post some [pics as soon as I can figure out how.
BTW, Is it normal to have issues M.U. ing these units in DC?
Here is a blury Pic:
And Another:

You may want to give these guys a shot for some COSF cars…

Along with Train Station Products core kits (not sure that TSP does the correct trucks for these cars), you can have some nice looking cars fairly quickly (after you do the first one, it is a lot easier).
Here is a thought…why not RESEARCH the locos you want to buy rather that buying them blind then asking if what you just bought is worth anything… Just my 2c David
