Received an e-mail today about this Just Plug system coming soon. A new way to light buildings with LEDs. Will probably cost a small fortune tho. Can be previewed at woodlandscenics.com Supposed to be available in Jan 2015. Anyone else heard of it yet?
Can you post a link?
Dave
Don’t know how to link it but it is at www.woodlandscenics.com in the coming soon section
Looks pretty interesting for those who can;t figure out how to solder together LEDs and resistors. Should be super easy to use. Convenience comes at a cost of course, it probbaly will be WAY more expensive than DIY. But, open the box, plug in the plugs, and it just works. Even gets the polarity right since those plugs and extension cords only go together one way.
I do hope they often a multi-connect cable though - you sould wind up needing 2-3 of those hubs just for one building if you set up individual lights in rooms and stuff.
The external switch is nice - can turn on and off a bunch of hubs plugged in to one expansion hub, or just control the lights connected to one hub.

Hope the pricing will be reasonable. Looks like a good product idea.

It is shown on a MR Video Plus visit to the I Hobby Expo

I’m sure that one could just use the base unit to control blocks in parallel, with a little DIY wiring…I’m currently (n.p.i.) using the Low Voltage Lighting Controller I found on Spookshow’s site and while quite effective I can only drool in envy at those individual dimmers…
When I first saw it I thought it was overpriced but then looked at the details like the mini dimmers. It will be interesting to see the street price, might be a real bargin.
