Just saying hello!

[:D]Just want to say to all my railroading buds out there…HI! Eventhough, this is a train forum, is there anyone out there that is also a traction buff[?] The reason why I ask is, as you all know that New York City will be celebrating the 100th anniversery of the building of that city’s subway/mass transit system. Me being an ex Brooklynite, I venture up there quite a bit (my mother still lives there). My father (God Bless him [angel]) used to work for them after he left New York Central Railroad and I was one of the first visitors to the New York City’s Transit Museum in Brooklyn, when it first opened in 1976. If any of you railroaders out there are also transit/traction buffs, I urge you to visit New York’s subway system[:D]! Get an ‘all day’ metro fare card for $7 and travel all day and all night long (hell I did when I was little). Much respect to all current and retired railroaders in the US and the world.

PEACE

[#welcome]

Welcome aboard, although not a real traction buff,I will appreciate anything you have to respond to.[:)]

[#welcome]

[#welcome] I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do.

…I would think Traction is a parallel interest of railroad fans on here and would find plenty of response. It is an interest to me.

It is steel on steel. Right? Then it is included.

Gather you are an Amtrak supporter. Employee also? I use Amtrak whenever I can, and want it to live on. Keep on with your voice.
