I am just now starting to figure something out about this hpbby. In the years past a lot of Modelers had to be creative on how they did their modeling both to make nice trains and a nice layout for the best price, and that is still true today.
Many years ago there were not nearly as many things that were available specifically for Model Railroading, so the modelers had to be creative to build an accurate model railroad. Or they had to do it because what was available was way over priced.
I think that spirit is still going strong today. It is just that in this day and age modelers are finding new things to be creative for. One an earlier post I asked about the cheapest method of getting sound for my locomotives. Ted D. Kramer had a very cost effective way approach for his layout. I have read many other way that so many of you (on the Forum) have done things to accomplish something for little or no actual cost to you. Not only does many of you do these things, but you are all very willing to share them with the rest of us in order to help us save costs and improve our layouts as well.
Sorry for such a long post, I just want to applaud all of you out there that not only help other modelers, but are still being inventive to make your RR more realist.[bow][tup][bow][:)]
