thanks for this link i apreciate all repys so fast im fixing a folder for my husband to have something to look forward to to keep him form getting depressed thanks again
[#welcome] to the forum!
I can’t think of any better way to keep from getting depressed than by working on a garden RR project! Except maybe a cool spring day riding down a winding road on a Triumph. Either way, we’re here to help! Plenty to do and plenty of people to help, so feel free to ask anything and we’ll try our best to give you some good information to work with.
I hope he gets better way soon…just put the computer infront of him so he can drool all over the photos. G Scale helps my pain for sure! [:D]
Hope He’s doin better, love to see some pics of “The Rose RR” if you get a chance, and if your not careful he’ll do what I do, spend all work workin on the trains so when he comes home he can run them!
(Where did you find that rediculous banana?)
we ever get it running ill send pics right now its just a track in the middle of the rose garden but at least its a start
Just take your time hubby is more important than rushing to get track laid. Once he is well on the road to recovery then you can both lay track and enjoy running trains. It`s a hobby that lets you set the pace, my own is changing as I think of new ideas. So at the moment enjoy your rest time to gether then later on in the year steam out together with all your track and start laying for the sunny weather and let the trains run[#welcome] If you are in UK may be able to help
Welcome to the Garden Railways Forums[#welcome] IF WE HAD AN IDEA WHERE YOU LIVE i.e. city/state/country. maybe you mite see someone to help at your front door. We all know how hard it is to get out and play in the dirt. There is a post in this forum that covers TRESTLE BENTS AND HOW TO MAKE THEM, IT’S VERY INFOMITIVE. WISH YOUR HUBBY A SPEEDY RECOVERY.[swg]
we actually started it last year just put the track out in the rose bed we live in the boothill of missouri he is doing better and works on litle projects a n \hour or so at a time he will be glad when i go baack to work next week so i dont nag him so much. we built a pergola together took a whole week but was fun and we love to dig in the dirt . he is thinking of expanding the railway out into the yard we put it oput basically to test the trains he buys on ebay he like to buy used trains in all the scales so i asked for one for the garden .we have several to play with now he buys ones that need help and i test them in the garden to see if they run and he fixes them up. a hobby we all benefit from he has fun i love the train in the garden and so do the grandbabys. we are just a couple of big gron up kids lol.would love to her some ideas on how soe of your garden railways look . thabks again
I pulled my 150’ x 50’ track up last winter and cleaned the tracks back up.
Redoing alot of it this time, no buildings on it last time so this one will have alot if my fingers stay on and don’t get glued together [:D]. Alot of work ahead of me thou.
Oh and some one ask about my banana, I can not remember where I got him, have more thou [swg]
Hope he (your hubby) is getting stronger by the hour. William
Just make sure he does as you tell him at our age time is not inportant for rushing around but time is inportant for the both of you. You sound as if you have been a couple for a good number of years, here`s hoping you have many more to gether. We are looking forward to our 40th next year[:)]. so as I say time is for both of you enjoy life to the full when hubby is 100% fit later in the year Good luck[tup][8D]

Not to be rude, but try looking in any issue of Graden Railways. and in top section of the General discussion forum.

Jeez, from looking at all of the layouts and progress on other railways, I’m getting envious!
I too am starting out, I just plopped down and got a Bachmann Big Hauler R/C set with some broken plastic track. But I’m SO READY to get a layout started with some brass out in my backyard.
To reiterate s’n’s, thanks for the links to the bridge and trestle plans. These are what I was looking for as well.
Sugar & Spice, How is he doing?
Mac_Daddy, have some Bmann track and not to far from you.
