I just joined this forum, so I thought I’d say Hi.
I’ve been reading this forum for a while now, and decided to join. I sort-of model the LaCrosse and Southeastern branch line of the Milwaukee Road if it wasn’t ripped up in 1933, in 1965. I just am getting started, so my modeling work isn’t very good, but I’m improving and enjoy what I’m doing, and that’s what is important.
Anyway, thought I’d say hi to everybody on the forums. Have a good rest of your weekends.
Welcome to the forum, good place to get info and just general BS. I follow the Milwaukee a little out here in Idaho, I’m still hoping for a plastic “little Joe” but I won’t hold my breath. BILL
Welcome to the forum. I think if you have any questions about anything, you’ll get some good answers and good opinions here, I know that I have. And if you just want to relax in and converse, try our Eliot’s Trackside Diner, it’s where some of us gather just to shoot the breeze and get comfortable with each other.
It’s a good Forum with good people. I’ve been enjoying it for years. Hope you do, too.
MadSinger, welcome. I think you will find a home here…there are many very nice people here with tons of experience who can guide you. If you need help, some guidance, some examples of others have done about a given problem, ask away. [:)]
Welcome aboard!! I’m a newbie, myself, although I started my layout along time ago. Just haven’t gotten enough of it completed to tfeel that I’m not a rookie.
I would have been in deep trouble if it hadn’t been for this forum. After reading threads I had to totally rethink what I was doing. I’'ve asked questions and gotten good answers, but I mostly read the posts that apply to what I’ve got to do and save them on the computer.
No doubt you will progress nicely with the help of the forum.
Welcome to the Forum! It has been a Godsend to me on many occasions, and I like to think I have helped out a few folks myself. There are folks of all backgrounds, skills, and interests here, as well as old folks like myself that have been playing with trains since the mid-'50s, to young folks who got their first trainset.
May I make a couple of suggestions to you - that will enhance your rewards from this forum…
When you have a question or whatever to start a new post, put the keywords on the subject line.
When you ask a question, don’t forget to give important info like scale or mfg or ???
Make sure you post your question/comment in the best forum for the subject. The Trains Forum has several categories and each has sub-categories. You will tend to get better response if - in example - you post a DCC question in the DCC forum, etc., etc.
[#welcome] I too am a Newbie like you, but only a 30 year break. You’ve picked a great forum. Lots of nice people and talent here. Check out WPF, as I’m sure you have, and you’ll see. These folks know what they’re talkin about!!
SO, you were checking us out for awhile first huh? Glad you decided to join, we have a good time here. Oh, and we talk trains too! (Models in this case).
