Just to show what I have been playing with

I feel funny posting here beause I am not a model railroad guy still. Still want to be. But you guys have all the neat displays! I want to learn from you. I took a piece of plywood and made this so far…

Need to add the electric wires and build the fence around the corn field but I have been working on it. The pond and the plowed cornfield took up a lot of room, and I want to add more foilage to the abandoned track. Does anyone make a 1/64 hand car? Would love to have a weathered one sitting on the tracks! Its a junk yard and screams for it. I have a way to go… this may never be “finished”. Having a lot of fun with it though! Thanks for all of the knowlege I have gotten from this site. It really helps me in my diecast wannabe world.

Hi!

No need to feel “funny”, for your efforts are just fine. It sounds like you are in 1/64th scale, which is S in model railroading terms. S (and O) are addressed primarily in the “classic toy trains” section of this Forum and you will probably get a lot more help/advice/attention there.

But no matter what, the folks here are always glad to admire someone’s efforts!

Looks like a great start, no matter the scale. We all enjoy seeing progress work, we’be all been there and most of us never stop progressing, improving, changing … There are folks that build diarams and never run the trains.

As stated above, you probably will get more help in finding 1/64 items over on the CTT portion of the forums.

Good luck,

Richard

Looks like you have a large die cast car collection, too.

Not a bad first effort. When you are done, set it aside and start another scene on a new surface. Every time you create a new diorama, your efforts will improve and you will discover new techniques.
