A couple of people hoping to see a “ghost train” ended up having a close encounter with a real one. Here’s a link to the story on MSNBC: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38891939/ns/us_news?GT1=43001

Not to beat a dead horse, but you are a little behind in reading the news and the FORUM![sigh]
South Carolina has always operated on it’s own timeframe…somewhat behind the rest of the world.[:D]
You are at least the third person to start a thread on this subject.
Watching for the ghost train is an annual event. I have no idea why they were in the middle of the bridge. Perhaps they do not believe you cannot hear it from the ends.
Whoops, I only saw it on MSNBC today. Didn’t mean to start a repetitive thread.
Good old MSNBC. Always got their ear to the ground ROFL.
It was local news here.
In fact, I have ridden an excursion train over that viaduct.
I would think that the proper place to hear the ghosts would be in the creek bed where the people died. Nobody died on the bridge, until now.
