K-Line and other unit container trains

Which container companies run unit container trains and do they run it with other container companies? I have seen unit K-Line and I think I have seen Hyundai and Maersk Sealand. Are their anyothers? How long are thease trains typically?

Stack trains that serve steamship companies generally handle all comers. What determines whose riding what train often is which terminals the train serves and which steamship companies have contracts with which RR for their various service lanes. So, you might see a lot of KLine stuff on NS and Pacer stuff on CSX, for example. Steamship stack trains can often handle 200 containers. Many times, blocks of steamship traffic will move in non-unit fashion mixed with other intermodal traffic depending on the design of the railroad’s train service and customer contractural commitments for service.

Thankyou but what about my question?

OOCL, Mitsui-OSK and others have dedicated unit trains…and just like boxcars, the transportation container brokers mix and match containers to suit their needs. Santa Fe and others ran stack trains that averaged 8500-8800 feet in length going east.

What kind of priority do thease trains have on the class 1’s systems?

I have seen China Shipping ones also.

Lower than the premium stuff (UPS, USPS, LTL) and truckload, higher than general merchandise carload.
