If it is command control it’s TMCC. Check the underside of the unit and see if there is a RUN/PROGRAM switch, if so it is TMCC. To enter into your Legacy unit read the Legacy instruction manual.

You got a good bargain on the K-Line engines. If they have command control it will be TMCC, and they will act like a Lionel engine with TMCC will do with Legacy(from what I know about TMCC).

If it says TMCC ready, it don’t have TMCC but has a connector plug-in to help install TMCC.

You say it has Railsounds; which version? Lionel or K-Line’s? If it has K-Line’s version it might need the special remote control from K-Line that works with K-Line trains only! I have seen an old K-Line remote at a hobby shop in south Florida area, Lantana FL(West Palm Beach) on Lantana Road.

I know a little about K-Line engines, you may need both engines to run at the same time if they have a tether cable between the engines. K-Line made three powered sets of A-B-A diesels and the first or main diesel had the reversing unit inside it and used a tether cable between the three engines to control the direction. So one of your A units may not run by itself or have direction control. They all have the power pick-up from the center rail, so that may fool you as to which one has the reverse unit inside it. But I am not 100% sure on this, as I never owned a set of AA’s or ABA’s.
