Hi All, anybody out there have any experience with K-Lines Shadow Track,
switches, etc, etc.?
I’ll give it a Double Thumbs Up! No adapters needed if you want to mate it to O tubular track (I do not use the Snap-Track.). I use the old Lionel O22 switches which work flawlessly…I heard the K-Line switches were fine - maybe some others will add their comments about those switches.

I used it on my last layout - worked great! I also like the K-Line turnouts. They seem as reliable as the Lionel O-22 turnouts to me.
I like the K-Line Shadowrail track. I have the type with the pins in it.
However, the K-Line switches are terrible and I plan to replace all of them on my layout. I have both the older hi-profile type and the newer low-profile type.
I have problems with both de-railments going through the switches and short circuits because the moveable plate rocks upward causing contact with the engine roller resulting in a short circuit. I have had to put tape on the moveable switch plate to prevent the short.

I use the K-line shadow track and snap track and am very satisfied. The switches are a combination of Lionel, K-line, and Hirth. To get the snap track to mate with the others is simple, just cut off the little “jingies” that connect them together and insert pins into the rails.
