I have a K-Line Pacific, traditional from '99, that is no longer smoking. I gave it a real heavy spray of contact cleaner per owner’s manual and let it set upside down overnite to drain. No luck , still no smoke. Open to suggestions as to what mite help. The last time it was operated it worked, but that was at least 9 or 10 months ago. [:(]
My K-line manual says to put a small amount of WD-40 in the smoke unit and run it until the smoking stops. Let it cool down, then flush with contact cleaner.
Perhaps the WD-4- will dislodge the gunk inside.
I find that most smoke units that I get to repair have loose wires. The Ground wire is very important.Sometimes its just loosen the ground and retighten it.

Unfortunately I don’t see how it comes apart, but I did pull the front off the boiler and let it bench run for a long time. No luck. [:(]
