Kadee Couplers

I’m new to all of this and need some help,
I have eight athearn heavyweight passenger cars and eight streamling
passenger car and want to convert to kadee couplers.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. The Tm mounted ones have me
confused.

Thanks in advance:

Jim Lawler.

If you have a Walthers catalog they have a section with the kadee coulper that tells you witch one to use for certain cars. Somebody else maybe able to provide a link to an online list. Hope this helps.

I’ve used the standard #5 in all the Athearn coupler boxes including the passenger cars. I’d use the same if I was going to body mount.

I use Kadee number five. I bought a coupler height gauge and some spacers. I adjusted and tweaked and tuned all my rolling stock. Great results!

The Kadee web site also has lists of coupler replacements, some even with more detailed PDFs with pictures. http://www.kadee.com/
