I am looking at adding a Kato Double Crossover to my next layout and am a little concerned about the imbedded S-curve intrinsic to a double crossover. As I have mentioned in earlier posts, I have a group of heavyweight cars with box-mount couplers that aren’t very fond of s-curves. Is this going to be a problem with the double crossover, or are the curves short enough and shallow enough to avoid a problem?
No problems. I run the Microtrains heavyweights through mine. The only thing to watch for is that it needs feeders on both ends. There are electrical gaps in the center of the turnout…Mike
