What is the deal on these Kato Kobo shop loco’s.I’m guessing the dcc/sound system installation are farmed out to a contrator.Are they good?
The one I bought several years ago had a very bad sounding Digitrax SoundFX decoder which I ripped out and replaced with a LokSound. Very weak, poor quality sound. I don’'t know what Kato might be using today.
Didn’t Kato and Digitrax have some sort of deal? I’ve got a couple of Kato Digitrax AC4400CW demo loco’s that were given to store owners. The sound was very poor but the loco"s are kind of rare.
