Let me start by saying , I’m not a math wiz , and am trying to convert an ho scale layout to n scale and am trying to figure out how this should be done on a 10 mm grid paper using the Kato track layout template . I know the conversion ratio is 54.1 % but I start to over think it and get confused . Does anybody have a laymans terms way of telling me how to do this? The ho scale layout is 10 ’ by 20 ’ I know it will be roughly 6 ’ by 11’ but am having a problem putting it on paper . Any help would be gretly appreceiated. thanks and have a great day.
Kato HO Unitrack has a different geometry than Kato N scale Unitrack, so the conversion is not only a question of some simple calculations.
Most layouts you see in MR are not drawn using a specific track system, just to add to the confusion.
