I read where the upcoming Kato N scale GS4 will have wheels driven by side rods. On another forum it was discussed that this design can have problems. Just wondered if anyone had an opinion about other Kato steam offerings. Were they of this design or were the wheels gear driven. I understand these are not gear driven because each wheel is suspended. With Katos reputation for excellence, I would hope this engine will perform well.
